Casting Simulation and Optimisation with MAGMASOFT®
MAGMASOFT® is a comprehensive software package for the simulation and optimisation of casting processes. It enables the analysis of mould filling, solidification and casting cooling, helping to improve quality, increase casting yield and reduce production costs. Process designs can be evaluated during casting development, before tooling is manufactured or casting trials are carried out.
Virtual Design of Experiments (DoE) and autonomous optimisation allow you to systematically compare alternative gating and feeding systems and process parameters. This helps identify the key factors affecting quality and establish process conditions that deliver consistent results despite normal production variations.
Its modular structure allows the software to be tailored to different metals, alloys and casting processes. With the appropriate modules, you can also analyse residual stresses, deformation, microstructural evolution, mechanical properties and heat treatment processes.
